Architecture

Asunto Oy Espoon Luhtakuusio was designed by SAFA architect Hannes Häkkinen. The two-storey detached homes and single-storey semi-detached homes have a warm appearance and create a pleasant feel that suits the area. The detached houses will be built on the slope plot and will have plenty of spaciously designed rooms and spaces. There are enough rooms to meet the needs of a large family or for teleworking. Depending on the residents’ needs, the spaces can be adapted into offices or recreational spaces. Space has been used wisely in the semi-detached homes, and the extremely large yards, which border onto a beautiful park area, add to the homes’ spacious feel. Large glass surfaces and modern spatial solutions make the site’s homes bright and open.

The recreational spaces downstairs in the detached homes are open and versatile. They are particularly suitable for use as a home gym, games room, cinema, or even for storage. All of the homes contain at least one carport space, and the detached homes also have an uncovered parking space. The semi-detached homes’ semi-heated storage and the detached homes’ unheated storage adjoin to the carports that belong to the properties.

Neighbourhood

Asunto Oy Espoon Luhtakuusio will be built in charming Muurala. The area is home to lots of buildings of different ages, including old wooden villas, which add character and welcome variety to the neighbourhood. Luhtakuusio’s wooden houses and their gabled roofs represent tradition and blend beautifully into the environment.

Muurala is situated to the north of Espoon keskus, and is particularly popular among families with children. A school and a day-care centre are nearby, there are great public transport connections, and the area is served by an expansive pedestrian and cycle lane network. Despite its location near the busy Ring III and Turun moottoritie roads, the neighbourhood is quiet, laid-back, and down-to-earth. A wide range of sports and exercise opportunities are just a short distance away, such as a swimming pool, an outdoor gym, a golf course, dog park, and a riding stable.

Just a few kilometres away is the popular outdoor and recreation area Kasavuori, which has a 3-kilometre-long nature trail boasting fantastic scenery and interesting ruins to explore. The breathtaking Nuuksio national park is just under ten kilometres away.
